Back to Blogging

It's hard to believe Henry is almost 2 years old. Everyone said that time would fly, but it is amazing how it truly has. We have discovered that we have a very vocal, very strong-willed, very active, very empathetic, and affectionate little boy. He brings constant laughter and joy to our lives. Over the past year, our little baby has turned into a little boy....he is in love with trucks, tractors, airplanes, dirt, rocks, water, bubbles, and dogs. We cannot keep him out of our pool..and it is an act of Congress to get him indoors at night to go to bed. Just over the past few months, he has started saying "night night daddy (or mommy), I love you". We're having a blast.

Cole Gets his MBA

Cole started the Executive MBA Program at SMU the weekend before Henry was born. After 22 months of endless nights of studying, numerous papers, exams & group projects, on top of 8 hours of class every other Friday and Saturday, he graduated with his Masters May 16th, 2009. We were beaming with pride......he worked so hard, and made incredible grades. Here are a few pictures of the celebration.

Water time!

Our Thursday afternoons are saved for playdates with Harper, David, Caroline, and Parker. Last week everyone came over and got into the water table. It was hilarious to watch the boys splash water all over themselves, and the girls cautiously play around them.

Changing by the minute

Okay, okay, we know it has been WAY too long since we have updated this page. What a busy start to the new year! He is now just about 7 months and growing and changing so much. We've had numerous playdates at the park, visits from friends and family, and have grown to LOVE our walks in the stroller. Another favorite time is bathtime. Henry likes to test the water, then SPLASH it EVERYWHERE. Then he does face plants in the bubbles trying to eat them. It is hilarious. Recently, he learned to sit up on his own. He gets so proud of himself....just smiling and laughing. However, he does not stay put for too long....he has learned that he can roll and push with his hands and feet to get where he wants to go. So, we figure our days of a still baby are numbered. TM and Big Daddy came to visit and brought home their new "baby" - a white lab puppy named Bijou. They watched Henry so mom and dad could go out on a date which was great! We're getting geared up for Henry's first Easter in Louisiana and will have more pictures to come!
