Summer Days

Summer has been flying by, and we are in the pool....NONSTOP. On Fourth of July, Kaki and Papa T came over for a day of swimming and grilling steaks. We attempted to see the fireworks from our house, but settled on just hearing them. We have discovered that Henry is a WATER baby.....proven by his ambition to jump in the water at any given moment whether anyone is looking or not. We have had to make him wear a life-vest suit....nicknamed the "Borat". Summer Mother's Day Out has been great and Henry LOVES being in a class with his "girlfriends" Harper and Caroline. It is so sweet to see how close these kids are getting. Henry has a golf addiction (big surprise) and carries his golf clubs everywhere.....Cole takes him to the driving range to practice, and the last time they went, I went along to take pictures. It was the cutest thing ever. Henry is swinging left to right....like me! hee hee....dad trying to figure out how to get on the float ;) Friends over to swim and try out the water slide Henry and Caroline having FrostiesBaby Harper came over to swim and play Our water baby 4th of July Golfing with Daddy
Last weekend, we celebrated Peter Gahagan's wedding in New Orleans., and had so much fun. We had not been there in a long time, and were reminded how it is one of our favorite places! Henry is getting geared up for his next "air-pane" trip to Florida....every morning he says "Henry ride on airpane....Henry go to the beach". It's hard to believe he will be 2 on August 21st!

Europeon Vacation

Some good friends of ours from Cole's class at SMU planned their wedding for this summer in England. We decided it was the perfect opportunity to take a long vacation to see Paris, London, and then attend the wedding in Berkshire. Though the pictures below are out of sequence, they illustrate the week we spent touring through these places. We started out in Paris, took a train to London, then headed out to Berkshire for Billy and Robyn's wedding. Needless to say, it was an amazing trip and a much-needed vacation for both of us! We drank amazing wine, ate amazing food, met some very interesting people, saw the sights, and caught a showing of Les Miserable at the Queens Theatre in london. The trip came to a close with 2 days in the English countryside at the wedding. We both agree that this wedding was an experience, not just an event. Some of the pictures are below. Although it was so nice to get away, it was so fun to come back to Henry....we missed him a ton!
